OOPS MN presents Classic Christmas, a delightful program of Christmas-themed works from the classical repertoire, along with traditional songs and carols of the season. From beloved favorites to beautiful rarities, the selections will be presented in a variety of solo and ensemble arrangements.
Whether you're seeking refuge from seasonal madness, or looking for a fun holiday activity with family and friends, OOPS' Classic Christmas is the perfect opportunity to slow down and cherish the season with those you love. Please join us in-person or at home for an evening of beautiful music, fantastic singing and holiday cheer!

Alyssa Burdick, mezzo soprano
Alyssa Burdick has recently appeared with Mankato Symphony Orchestra, and as a soloist with Minnesota Chorale in performances with Minnesota Orchestra and Bach Society of Minnesota. She looks forward to spring 2022 performances of Bach’s Mass in B Minor (chamber choir) with Bach Society of Minnesota, and Thompson’s Seven Last Words of the Unarmed with Minnesota Chorale and Minnesota Orchestra. Alyssa lives in Plymouth where she teaches lessons, directs a community men's choir, and is raising three small boys. She hopes to persuade her family to go caroling with her but chances are slim, so she is delighted to be singing carols on this program.
Tracey Engleman, soprano
A recipient of the prestigious McKnight Artist Fellowship for Musicians, Tracey Engleman has performed operatic roles with the Minnesota Opera, Minnesota Concert Opera, Skylark Opera, Arbeit Opera, Music by the Lake, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. A particularly gifted performer of 20th century and contemporary music, Ms. Engleman has performed chamber music with Zeitgeist, the Chicago Chamber Musicians, the Tanglewood Music Center and the Boston Symphony and frequently premieres works by living composers. Her CD Lift me into Heaven Slowly featuring song cycles by Libby Larsen was released by Innova Records in 2017. Concert engagements include solo performances with the Minnesota Orchestra, the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Bel Canto Chorus, the Valley Chamber Chorale, Minnesota Choral Union, the Cannon Valley Orchestra, and the Rochester Choral Arts. She has performed in recital at Orchestra Hall, Hope College, at the National Association of Teachers of Singing National Convention, Source Song Festival, and as part of the Schubert Club Courtroom Concert Series. Ms. Engleman is an Associate Professor of Music at St. Olaf College where she teaches voice and vocal pedagogy.
Trevor Lemon-Todd, tenor
Trevor Lemon-Todd is a tenor residing in Minneapolis. A recent winner of the Lotte Lenya Competition's Emerging Talent Award, Lemon-Todd has performed with Skylark Opera Theatre, Minnesota Opera, and Ohio Light Opera. Favorite roles include Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus), Lord Evelyn Oakleigh (Anything Goes) and Sir Richard Dauntless (Ruddigore).

Eric McEnaney, pianist
Eric McEnaney enjoys a multifaceted career as one of America’s foremost opera pianists and vocal coaches, having assisted on the musical preparation of more than 100 productions for companies throughout the country. Dr. McEnaney served as Principal Production Pianist & Coach at Florentine Opera Company for four seasons. He is currently a Master Coach for Minnesota Opera and serves as Music Director for Opera Reading Project, a role-reading series for working and aspiring Twin Cities singers. Dr. McEnaney has worked as an orchestral keyboardist for Minnesota Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, St. Paul Civic Symphony, and the orchestras of Minnesota Opera and Central City Opera. Dr. McEnaney’s performances have been broadcast locally and nationally on PBS, Great Performances, American Public Media, Minnesota Public Radio, Colorado Public Radio, Twin Cities Public Television’s Almanac, KSTP-TV's Twin Cities Live, and WCCO-TV’s Mid-Morning. Jill Suzanne Morgan, soprano
Jill Suzanne Morgan comes from Andover, Minnesota, and is so happy to be back to performing again! She received her Bachelor's degree from Drake University in Des Moines, IA, and her Master's from the University of Texas at Austin, and is thrilled to return to the Midwest to spread holiday cheer through music. Jill currently resides in Minneapolis with her cat, Giselle, and enjoys cooking, baking, crafting, and exploring breweries outside of her musical commitments. Jill would like to thank her parents, Amy and Todd, for their unrelenting support, especially through the pandemic, and to her roommates for being her sounding board to calm her nerves when things got weird.

Ben Sieverding, bass
Bass Benjamin Sieverding of Minneapolis, MN has gained notice for his “resonant, expressive bass” (StarTribune) and for a range of characterizations ranging from “wickedly charming” (l’étoile magazine) to “genuinely threatening” (Phindie). In 2021, he made his Tulsa Opera debut as Betto in Gianni Schicchi and his Omaha Symphony debut performing excerpts from Mozart’s Requiem and Handel’s Messiah. Mr. Sieverding has performed several roles with Minnesota Opera including Alfred Austrian in The Fix, Prison Warden George Benton in Dead Man Walking, Colline in La bohème, and Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte. Other recent performances include appearances with South Dakota State Symphony, Madison Opera, Glacier Symphony, Pacific Symphony, Fort Worth Opera, Opera in the Heights, Opera South Dakota, Lakes Area Music Festival, and Madison Symphony Orchestra. In the spring of 2022, Mr. Sieverding will make his Metropolitan Opera debut in Brett Dean’s Hamlet.
David Walton, tenor
David Walton has made numerous appearances across the country in leading operatic roles and concert performances. Recent highlights include the title role in Handel’s Acis and Galatea with Annapolis Opera and Tri-Cities Opera and Messiah with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, and the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra. Other roles include Belmonte in Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail , Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Ernesto in Don Pasquale and Ramiro in La Cenerentola. In 2022 David will sing his role debut as Rodolfo in La Boheme with Theater Latte Da in Minneapolis.
Karin Wolverton, soprano
Minnesota native Karin Wolverton has enjoyed a successful career on both the concert and opera stage. A frequent guest of MN Orchestra and MN Opera, she also performs throughout the United States with such companies as Utah, Arizona, Omaha, Austin, Pittsburgh, Tulsa, Santa Barbara, Madison, and Des Moines. Favorite roles include Mozart heroines Donna Anna and Elvira, Fiordiligi and Countess, Puccini’s Mimi (La Boheme) and Magda (La Rondine), Micaela (Carmen), Antonia (Tales of Hoffmann) and Tatiana (Eugene Onegin). A champion of new works, Ms. Wolverton has enjoyed collaborating on many world premieres, including the Pulitzer Prize winning Silent Night, a role she revived with MN Opera and the recording of which has just been released by Naxos.
